The farmer's cousin, who lives in the middle of our little village, grows them and they almost cover his house at this time of the year. I love their lucid, clear colours - as your obviously do. Always pop in if you are this way.
Does he proporgate them Pat? I am trying to find out how to. Yes we are due a visit!
I love their showy displays too. And so much variety.
Next year I am fancying window boxes - they would look beautiful with begonias.
I've loved begonias since I saw a huge display at a cottage in Cornwall.I don't see them here...I wonder how they 'd do?Jane x
Only one way to find out Jane. xxx lol!
Beautiful. I think the pretty yellow ones are my favourites.
My favourites are the pale yellow with a hint of pink. Am always keen to think of colour combinations - if I do window boxes for summer I would go for yellow, pink and orange.
Wonderful post today. When I lived by the ocean I always had several hanging baskets of them. We even had a tiny wren build a nest in one. It was by the front door even !But here in Tucson much to hot. I use to just cut off a stem by the joint and put them in water till they rooted. Don't know if that is correct or not ? But it worked for me.cheers, parsnip
Thanks AP will do that!
Thank you for your comments, always nice to know somebody has taken the time to let me know what they think.
